Timothy Rice

Timothy Rice age 65 of Baneberry, Tennessee passed early January 22, 2026 at his home, surrounded by his wife, daughter and family after a bout with cancer. Tim was a devoted man of God that touched many peoples lives throughout his Christian walk. His goal in life was to share Jesus with the people he came in contact with daily that “Jesus Changes Everything ”. He was a member of Freedom Fellowship Church  in White Pine and served as a deacon. He served his church with his whole heart and family that he so loved.  He was retired from Mahle Industry of 40 years overseeing water treatment. 

Timothy was the son of the late Drew and Ruth Rice. He is survived by his wife, Diane Rice of 45 years, a devoted daughter Kandus Childs, wonderful son-in-law Seth Childs and precious granddaughter Mia Childs that he loved so very much. His sister-in-law, Hollie and Randy Ramsey, his deceased sister-in-law, Dennie Ottinger and niece Mason Ottinger, nephew Ryder.  Special niece Miranda Ramsey, and Robert Johnson, special nephews Tison and Skylan Johnson that were like grandsons, nephew Brad and Madison Ramsey, nephews Baker and Bryer Ramsey. His late brother in law Randy Cagle, nephew Brent and Amy Cagle, niece Christie and Flint Carter, niece Lindy Carter and nephew Little Flint and Bailey Carter. His brothers David Rice, Danny and wife Carlene Rice, nephew Tate Rice, sister Pam Rice, niece Heather Rice, late sister  Debbie Denton, nephew little Jim Denton. 

We are grateful for Sunset Hospice, with Dr. Ward Phillips Healthcare Group and his great staff and the hospice nurses. Their exceptional care and for Dr. Ward Phillips special attention to our family were truly remarkable.

Tim left a legacy and is walking in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are having a celebration of life at Freedom Fellowship in White Pine on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 6pm. Dustin Wallace, our pastor of Freedom Fellowship of White Pine will be holding the service. In lieu of flowers please make any donations in memory of Timothy Rice to your favorite charities.
